Working Toward a
Permanent Home
Coming home can be the hardest part. Trauma, PTSD, and family disconnection often linger long after service ends. Healing at this depth requires more than an appointment, it requires a safe, private place where people can breathe, open up, and begin again.
A permanent campus would offer that space: a calm environment for evidence-based care, a setting where families can rebuild trust, and room for growth through mindfulness, outdoor connection, and eventually animal-assisted learning.
At WCC, we believe that when people feel safe, they can face life’s hardest challenges and create new levels of connection, with themselves, their families, and their community.

Exciting News from Wellness
Collaborative Campus!
The Wellness Collaborative Campus (WCC) is dedicated to addressing the mental health crisis among veterans and their families. Through evidence-based mental health services, equine-assisted learning, and therapeutic retreats, we are creating a community where healing happens in a holistic and supportive environment. The Campaign:
To bring this vision to life, we are raising $200,000 in our capital campaign. This funding will go directly toward securing property for our campus and ensuring the launch of our programs that will serve hundreds of veterans and families annually.
What Will the Funds Support?
- Acquiring the Campus Property:
We are actively seeking a serene and welcoming location to serve as the heart of WCC. The location will be within Fayette County or surrounding areas, increasing access to critical services in a region where they are greatly needed. This campus will provide a safe space for veterans and their families to reconnect, heal, and thrive. - Program Launch:
Your support will enable us to offer life-changing retreats, therapeutic services, and wellness programs at no cost to veterans and their families. For each donor, we will provide opportunities to sponsor a specific program that aligns with their values:- Giddy Up for Wellness: Donors will receive recognition for helping veterans and families participate in equine-assisted learning.
- Sally’s Heart: Sponsors will support the emotional healing of families through mini horse interactions, receiving updates on the program’s progress.
- Hoofing to Serve: Donors will fund clinical supervision and intern programs, contributing to the next generation of mental health professionals who will serve veterans.
- Retreat Sponsorships: Larger donors will have the opportunity to sponsor entire veteran family retreats, with program acknowledgment and updates on the impact their support has made.
- Expanding Access:
Your contribution will allow us to expand access to critical mental health services, offering safe spaces for healing and reconnection. With your help, we will reach more veterans and families in need, providing evidence-based treatments that transform lives.
