During my time in the Army, I learned that you fight for the person standing next to you. It is the soldiers to your right and your left, the battle buddy in the dark, the gunner in your Humvee, that command your commitment and service. When I left the army after four years and a deployment, I started fighting for the veterans standing next to me.
These veterans grew to include my husband, my brother, my best friend, my colleagues, and my community of writers. I use my profession in talent attraction to advocate for veteran employment and my platform as a writer to bring attention to the long-term impact of military service. In both pursuits, it is the stories that I hear and get to share that lead to lasting change.
I am committed to helping tell the story of Wellness Collaborative Campus. Wellness Collaborative Campus has a legacy of service, helping connect a community to resources, events, individuals, and best of all horses! I’ve had the opportunity to attend events and witness the sense of peace, teamwork, and empowerment working alongside these animals brings to individuals and groups. I am so excited to put into words the impact of these encounters.

Joshua Kreimeyer
PHD, LPC, LMFT
From Minnesota roots and a BS in Recreation, Dr. Kreimeyer enlisted in the US Army. During his service he had side excursions to Kosovo (1999) and Iraq (2003). After injuries prevented re-enlistment opportunities, he transitioned to civilian life and utilized a VOCREHAB program to retrain into the field of Counseling. He also obtained a postgraduate certificate in Marriage and Family Therapy so now practices as both LPC, LMFT, and an AAMFT Approved Supervisor. Dr. Kreimeyer has worked in community-based outpatient clinics, private practice, a residential drug and alcohol program within a penitentiary in the US Bureau of Prisons, and for several years as a Readjustment Counselor and Family Therapist within the VA Vet Center. Since 2011, Dr. Kreimeyer has taught as an Affiliate and full-time Professor in both MFT and MAC programs. He earned my PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision through Regent University. He is passionate about helping military families deal with transitions from war and from military to civilian life as well as mitigating the impact of trauma.
Through his studies at Regent University Dr. Kreimeyer participated in groundbreaking efforts to bring the field of trauma informed counseling to mental health providers in the war-torn country of Ukraine. He presently serves as an advisor to the Presidential Administration of Ukraine and is helping to build their first-ever National Center for PTSD with a special focus on integrating families into the readjustment continuum of care. Most recently as an International Expert with the United Nations International Office For Migration, Dr. Kreimeyer has helped facilitate several experiential retreats for military families in Ukraine.
With the limited free time that he does have, Dr. Kreimeyer tries to practice what he preaches to get out into the beautiful mountain trails of Colorado with my wife, three daughters, son-in-law and granddaughter, for either skiing in the winter or hiking any other time. One of his proudest accomplishments to date was in hiking up and down Pikes Peak in 2013.

M.Ed. Special Education
Originally hailing from the beautiful state of New Mexico, I've navigated through various roles and challenges, each contributing to my personal growth and character development.
One of the most defining chapters was my time serving in the army. As a leader in the army, I had the privilege of serving my country, learning invaluable lessons in resilience, perseverance, and the true meaning of service to others. Those years instilled in me a deep appreciation for sacrifice, and they honed my skills in leadership, decision-making, and the importance of teamwork.
After my military service, I ventured into entrepreneurship. Running a small business taught me a lot about adaptability, determination, and staying grounded through the highs and lows. It was a challenging yet incredibly rewarding experience.
Driven by a thirst for knowledge and a desire to make a positive impact, I pursued higher education. I earned a Bachelor's degree in Biblical Studies, delving into the complexities of faith and its impact on shaping my worldview. Later, I pursued a Master's degree in Special Education, recognizing the importance of supporting individuals with diverse learning needs. This journey led me to become a special education teacher, where I found fulfillment in creating inclusive and nurturing learning environments for my students. Drawing upon my military leadership experience, I strive to connect with my students and empower them to overcome obstacles and reach their full potential.
Currently, I hold a few roles at the university where I work. I serve as an academic advisor, helping students navigate their educational paths, and I'm also a professor of Cultural Awareness and Online Learning. These roles allow me to guide students in their academic journeys while fostering cultural understanding and facilitating effective online learning experiences.

I am a Native Texan born in Houston but raised in South Texas with my Grandparents. I joined the Navy when I turned 18 as a Navy Combat Photographer and spent 10 years serving in multiple theaters and Desert Shield/Storm as well as multiple deployments into Northern Iraq (Zaku) during the various phases of Operation Provide Comfort and enforcement of the No-Fly-Zone. I finished out my career as one of 8 photographers personally assigned to the President of The United States at The White House documenting the day to day activities of then President Clinton. Since leaving the military I have worked with various organizations connecting Military with Civilians as a member of the Commemorative Air force where I crewed on the last flying SB2C Helldivers in existence. I worked as a liaison between civilian entities and military to promote the history and importance of our military members and the sacrifices that they make on a day to day basis. I am now involved heavily with multiple non profit organizations that work hard to help promote the healing of our veterans and their spouses, as well as their families. I have worked as a facilitator, photographer, and participant/mentor in programs that focus on extended outdoor therapies for the veterans and their families. I is my life dream to continue to give back to my fellow brothers and sisters in arms and their families.

Remington Vandergriff
Clinical Social Worker
My name is Remington Vandergriff, and I am a Tennessee Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Board Certified Diplomate, Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, and Phi Alpha honor society member with additional licensing in and New Mexico and North Carolina and tele-health registration in Florida and Vermont.
I earned my Psychology BS with a minor in Military Science in the Army ROTC program at Truman State University from 2002-2006; my MSW through the AMEDD C&S program from 2011-2012; and my LCSW through the intensive Social Work Internship Program at Ft. Sam Houston from 2013-2015. I served as an Army Behavioral Health Officer in the 101st Airborne Division until 2018 when I was medically retired for combat and other service-connected injuries. From 2018 until recently I worked for the VA Homeless Veterans Program but have since taken this private practice full-time.
I am trained in multiple evidence-based therapies such as: REBT, CBT, CPT, PE, EMDR, SFT, MI, Clinical Hypnotherapy, and CBTi. My main focus and interest lie in men’s mental health, Veteran issues, and LCSW Supervision. I am well versed in self-care, coping skills, and anger management. I do not do couple’s or family therapy. I will see minors 16+ on a case-by-case basis.
Regardless of any of that, evidence shows the most important part of healing is not the therapeutic style, modality of treatment, or school the therapist went to but is the therapeutic alliance. I can tell you the vast majority of my clients have reported feeling at ease, comfortable, and heard while I provided care for them.
I have been an LCSW supervisor since 2018, have completed all of the recently added TN training requirements. I meet all criteria to provide 50% of the required supervision in North Carolina (telehealth rules) and am awaiting official approval from New Mexico to be placed on their list. Before that, I provided frequent case consultations for peers and subordinates (to include high-risk consultation), supervised LMSWs as a field site supervisor, and supervised Behavioral Health Technicians. As an Army officer, I led hundreds of troops and am well versed in leadership, organizational, and management skills as well as how to build and develop the next generation.
